Registration Fees

Registration provides:

  • A full uniform of jersey, shorts and socks.
  • Membership in the United States Youth Soccer Association, Tennessee Soccer Association
  • Insurance
  • Operating expenses such as referees costs, flood lights, field maintenance.

Please Note: The uniform provided in the Fall will be used in the spring. Players will be placed on the same teams for the Fall and Spring seasons. The cost of providing uniforms in the Fall covers virtually all of the registration fee, so the operating costs are covered during the Spring season. The budget for NRS runs from the start of the Fall season to the end of the Spring season.

Registration Discounts

$5.00 discount for each additional household registration.

Coaching Discount: ONLY APPLIES TO HEAD COACH OF A TEAM WHO HAS A TENNESSEE STATE ISSUED SOCCER COACHING LICENSE. E license receives a $20.00 discount and a D license receives a $25.00 discount. *** ONLY 1 COACHING DISCOUNT PER FAMILY IS ALLOWED REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY TEAMS ARE COACHED ***  DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED (REFUNDED) AFTER THE SEASON BEGINS - NOT DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.

NRS Refund Policy

Requests for a refund will be honored provided the parent or legal guardian notifies the NRS Registrar in writing prior to the first scheduled game day of the season.

Requests after the first game day will be considered with additional documentation (Doctor’s recommendations, etc.) These requests may result in an adjusted refund amount to cover costs incurred by the league. Late fees are non refundable. Absolutely no refunds will be honored after the fourth scheduled game day of the season. If your child must withdraw from the current season due to unforeseen circumstances, a request for refund of the registration fee may be made.

NRS Refund Procedure

All requests prior to the first scheduled game day will be handled by the NRS Registrar and the NRS Treasurer. All requests after the first game day will be presented to the NRS Executive Board by the NRS Registrar for approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the NRS Executive Board.

RETURN CHECK POLICY:  Fees incurred by NRS due to returned checks will be the responsibility of the registrant.

Requirements for Players

Shinguards are required for all games and practices.
Cleats are preferred to reduce the risk of injury in wet conditions.
A ball is optional but recommended. Ball sizes differ for age groups as follows:

U5 - U8 Size 3
U9 - U12 Size 4
U13 and above Size 5

 

Jewelry

Due to the nature of the game of soccer, players will come into contact with other players. For the safety of all players: rings, earrings, necklaces etc, and anything that could injure your child or others must be removed prior to practices and games.  The no jewelry policy applies to starter earrings also. For the sake of your child, do not have their ears pierced immediately before or during the soccer season as earrings will have to be removed during games. This policy is for the safety of all children.

Playing Conditions

Games will be played except in extreme weather conditions.
Games will be abandoned if lightening is seen in the vicinity of the Rotary Park.
Field conditions after heavy rainfall may cause the game schedule for the entire day to be cancelled.
In very cold conditions, players may wear the uniform on top of warm clothing - Jackets with hoods or hoodies will not be allowed.
Always bring more water than you think is necessary to games and practices.
